History of Exercitum

Our guild was originally formed by a mother and son team in early 2005 on the Alliance side of the european server Skullcrusher which at the time was home to numerous successful guilds on both factions. Starting a new guild at such a time was by no means easy but they managed and for a time Exercitum was successful clearing up to Ragnaros in MC.

However for unknown reasons the mother and son team decided to disband the guild in late 2005 but there was still hope for Exercitum. Hope found in all the former members and their willingness to not let a good thing die. Exercitum was reformed back in late 2005.

From then on things went from strength to strength and Exercitum cleared Zul'Gurub, The Gates of Anh'Qiraj, Onyxia, Molten Core and was progressing on Chromaggus in Blackwing Lair when The Burning Crusade Launched.

In Burning Crusade Exercitum continued to progress well clearing all content up to Kael'thas Sunstrider. Recruitment around this time was incredible difficult on Skullcrusher. The Alliance side of the realm was dying so we made the hard decision to re-roll Horde on another server entirely.

We landed on Shattered Hand, mainly down to one of our youngest members ever to be in the guild, Gardis a once Night Elf Hunter. He helped the first of us re-roll with various boosts. Before long the guild was back to full strength and we had some success in Black Temple before Wrath of the Lich King was Launched.

We continued to have great progression through Wrath clearing all content on a 10 and 25 man setting except for 25 man Lich King Heroic, which we had numerous sub 5% wipes. We also completed some notable achievements such as Immortal and Glory of the Raider.

We remained on Shattered Hand through Cataclysm with continued success up to Ragnaros Heroic in Firelands which eluded us. When Dragon Soul released, sadly the instance did not live up to the expansion long hype and was ultimately the downfall of the game and the guild at this time due to lack of interest.

Mists of Pandaria gave us renewed life and we progressed on a smaller scale at first thanks to Hannes aka Druddet a great druid, awesome officer and part time Guild Master. Later in the expansion we once again competed on a larger scale and had some solid progress up to Malkorok before Warlords was released.

When Warlords of Draenor was launched we decided once again to play on Alliance and re-rolled on Frostmane but with only a 2 day a week schedule and limited time things didn't progress as well as we would've hoped. Legion dawned. New expansion, new realm, new faction. Back to Horde but this time on Draenor with great success killing Argus before any significant nerfs. Battle for Azeroth... nuff said... BRING ON CLASSIC!
